Gōng Mèng 公孟

A Confucian thinker remembered chiefly as an interlocutor of Mò Dí. The chapter Gōngmèng records a series of debates between the two concerning ritual, fate, ghosts, innovation, and the role of the scholar. Although little is known about him independently of these exchanges, he serves as an important representative of the  position in Mohist argumentation.
